Airport Welcome

Refugee families sometimes travel for 24 hours or more before they arrive at their destination.  They are tired, but they are excited to finally arrive in their new homeland.  Often they are only greeted by their case manager.

But imagine their joy when they are greeted by an American family or church group who have come out to the airport especially to welcome them!

Welcome to America Baskets

This is an opportunity to share your blessings with a family in need and to show them they are not alone.  Groups are given a list of items to collect and prepare for a new refugee family who has just arrived.

Then the group goes with a TRM volunteer to deliver the gift and to welcome the new family the day after they arrive.
